Angela Funovits (born on July 29, 1987) is an American Magician, Mentalist and medical student. In October and November 2007, Funovits was the only female of ten mentalist contestants on the primetime NBC series Phenomenon, which was hosted by Tim Vincent and judged by Criss Angel and Uri Gellar. She finished as first runner-up on the series, after performing dangerous demonstrations of mentalism involving chain saws, knives, and fire. Funovits represented the USA in the live German TV special “Die besten Mentalisten der Welt” on ProSebien.

Cyril Takayama
Cyril Takayama (born September 27, 1973) is an American-Japanese illusionist of Japanese and French descent. He is perhaps best known for his magic performances around Japan. Some of Cyril’s signature tricks include the hamburger in the menu trick, having his head fall off his shoulders, and the card through window trick. His most dramatic trick was above the Circus Circus hotel, where he bungee jumps into the hotel pool with a sword and spears the chosen card of his co host from a deck floating in the water.

It was a series of mixed emotions from Happiness to disappointment and all that falls in between. This season of Australians got Talent was one of the best, with the ratings to prove it. In my opinion, mostly due to the new variety of actual Talented acts ranging from the young winner – 14 year old Jack Vigen up to the Senior performers from Benchmark.
As much as I like Jack, I wanted something different from the cliche Singer or Dancer to take the crown. This view is expressed by many but as the show comes down to “votes” not enough people must share my opinion. Many have claimed “its rigged” and that Jack was groomed as a winner from the start.
The validity of this we will never be known but I do know that the production of Singers/Dancers from Talent search shows in my opinion will soon see their demise. I was Very very happy that Australian Magician Cosentino Made is through to finals, and also surprised he pushed all the way through to 2nd place. My jubilation mostly rised from the exposure and what this can possibly do for the Magic community.
What do I mean about the magic community??.. well mainstream audiences experiencing illusion, with a good showman like Cosentino helps open peoples eyes to what we offer, and drives more work for all Professional Magicians within Australia. Why do I think this??.. well imagine a world without David Copperfeild, without Harry Houdini or Lance Burton… the illusion business would definitely be a different one.
I think Cosentino will go on to become a popular magician, and mostly because he can connect well with the young audience. He looks trendy, is polite and doesn’t look like the 70s cliche magician with a top hat stereo type that many performers to this day still personify .

Jean-Christophe Celestin has been onboard with Magiquesince its inception and is a experienced magician- Mentalist who has a clean sophisticated style with a quirk edge to his character. Jean-Christophe developed his interest in Magic during high school and fast become know as “trickster” to fellow classmates. Taking on a job at Blacktowns paddies markets Magic shop this gave Jean the opportunity early to learn & perform to all demographics.
Jean-Christophe over the past 5 years has shifted his style and approach to illusion from being a simple magician to embracing the ‘Mentalism’ element of performance. Exploring effects and showcasing effects that are mind boggling, and leave you scratching your head “how is that possible, how did he know that?” is Jeans Fortay. Jean-Christophe has performed many Weddings and various clients such as ‘Energizer’, ‘ANZ’ ‘Price Waterhouse Coopers’ and many more.
Joko Chiumanhas also been with Magiquesince its inception and is a unique, funny witty performer. Professional close up Magician, Joko is best known for his superior Card and Coin illusion skills. Aside from having BIG! hands Joko is fast and engaging, a breathtaking and charismatic performer.
Joko, originally from Indonesia he now resides in Sydney and has toured and performed in Japan, Malaysia and throughout Australia. Joko takes a rockstar approach to illusion with a unique style, a funny delivery and the ability to gel with any age group from kids parties up to 70th birthday parties. Joko has Performed for such clients as ‘Roses Only’ ‘Westpac’ ‘Fairfax Digital’ ‘Park Hyatt’ and has also been featured on radio station Nova FM during ‘Magic Week’
James Dehombrehas been working with Magiquefor the past 18 months and aside from being an amazing close up and stage magician, he is also one of the tallest magicians you’ll see. James has a strong understand of NLP and is an experienced Hypnotists, Pick pocket and Magician. Like many magician, James developed a strong desire to become a Magician when he got hooked on the addictive Buzz from Performing.
James has performed regularly in both Sydney and Melbourne and was a featured act on the television show “Fat Pizza” stage show titled ‘Fully Hypnotised’. He is also a resident Magician on the biggest Cruise company All occasion cruises performing regularly on wild boys afloat, the Bella Vista and Lady Rose Cruise ships. James has performed for ‘Smuts Mckenzie Lawyers’ ‘The Veronicas’ and is a signed performer for the One Love group.
Magician Neo has been with Magiquefor the past 14 months and is an experienced korean Magician who now resides in Sydney Australia. Neo performed first off with Magique aboard our June Charity event in 2010 – Magique Noahs Ark Charity Cruise and was immediately. due to his skill.. a part of the team. Experienced in both stage and close up Neo has over 7 years professional experience.
Aside from loving the rush, fun and thrill that comes with performing in Australia he also loves Tim tams, which he missed whilst on tour in Korea and asia late last year. Neos illusion style is highly visual and he as a very strong stage presence with a solid understanding of holding crowds from 50 people up to 1000+
With effects ranging from levitating objects, vanishing and reappearing effects and fire-flash effects Neo has taken sydney by storm.
