It’s always hard to choose, and we tend to leave a lot of the voting up to you the fans whom attend our parties. We don’t like the whole, get the most “likes” and you win approach because we all know thats more of a popularity contest as posed to a genuine ‘your costume is awesome’ vote

The SWAT team has taken hostage Magique events various times as: Ninja Turtles, Naughty Maids and we couldn’t ignore their awesomeness! So 2nd Place is to the 6 SWAT babes awarded 6 x Tickets to Magique Halloween Circus 2012Free!
Although the business was registered in april on 2009, and wasnt till late october ( 2 years ago ) in 2009 that we pushed our ship from shore into the scary sea of business. Time really does fly! and looking back from the place we started.. we are happy with all we have discovered & created along the way.
Of course the journey is not over, it has only just begun. Magique was formed shortly after I “james Patrick” hosted my birthday on a Harbour cruise with my best friend – whom is a magician, Jean-Christophe Performing with various other magic buddies I’d met over the years. The first cruise, my birthday – saw 120 people aboard and everyone seemed to have a great time.
within 2 years, we have taken it from 120 people – to 2300+ …so we must be sailing in the right direction. In saying that, the focus is not throwing the biggest parties by any means, but rather attempting to throw the most unique parties. Unique by the effort our clientelle put into their costumes, the stage acts and the general visual layout and vibe. No Fights, No troublemakers just a group of people bound by a common interest – fun!
Okok, enough bragging, we are excited, it’s and exciting business and we hope to be able to always better each and every event we do. Feedback is cruicial for us, and we love your input.
Feel free to email us today, with Idea – Suggestions and thoughts on how we can make our Parties even better than they are: magique@magique.com.au or you can even call us up on 1300 747 644. Your probably wondering now who won the Best Dressed for our annual Halloween Event – Magique Halloween Circus… And More importantly, what did they win? With over 2000 people and a Huge amount of effort put in by all it has been hard to decide. We didnt want to do the “get your friends to like or vote” mentality as this is not a popularity contest but rather a genuine effort & innovation contest.
Many People who attend Magique events in the past have set the bar rather high, and that is awesome.. because a Fancy Dress Party with no creativity really is just a waste a time, dont you think? We also find that the type of people who put that effort in are the nice fun and friendly crowd we love ! just out to have a good time.
Ok ok ! so who won already? … well we can’t deny how awesome he was. No one Died thankfully but even his gun moved and has a laser on it. His head mask and being in character most of the night was Great – It gets hellish hot in these suits you know.
THE PREDATOR has taken the crown, not just cause he threatened to slice us up! though that definitely made us consider him. Your now probably thinking… what can i do next year that is better than last year? dont worry – We are thinking the Exact same thing!
Magique Halloween Circus 2012 is already getting storyboarded, designed and if you loved Magiques 2011 instalment we want you to remember one thing. This is Just the Beginning !
What a Night !! with well over 2000 Fancy Dressed people spread across the Big Top inside Luna Park we where already ahead in creating an electric and energetic vibe. The set up and big day was massive for our team and the stage, layout and production came together amazingly.
Silent Disco on the front room with Hardstyle Djs Kax Deejay & Arbee kept people jumping for hours, kitted out like a ‘hospital of horrors’ the DJ booth looks the part. In the Main Arena we had the Big Colour Dream Bear with the 2 stilt walking Bo Peeps roaming with guests and stopping for pics.
On stage we saw Dirdy Birdy, Michelle Shimmy, Matty Sheilds, Benji all perform amazing Pole Dance Routines. Aerialists Melise Avion with her team from Avion Aerial Arts School light up the roof of the arena with their aerial acrobatics. This matched with Male Aerialist ‘Defy’we had everyones heads tilted back in awe.
Dance Groups Extended Element and Creative Identitystrung together several amazing zombie-esk hip hop/break dance shows matched with gogo which kept the energy and crowd pumped well into the night. Burlesque superstar Brianna Bluebell provided a saucey routine of Burlesque and Defy introduced us to the world of Male Burlesque – Boylesque !.
Unicyclist Jamey pretty much kept us on the edge of our.. well we where sitting, so edge of our feet i guess as he manoeuvred around the stage on his 12 foot!unicycle whilst juggling knifes and glow balls. Along with the stilt walking team, the african warriors came up from melbourne and provided an incredible show of high energy acrobatics and skill,, and some cool fire tricks.
Resident MagiqueMagician Neo provided some extraordinary stage illusion with a main act, live dove routine which has still got us stumped ! and close up guys Joko Chuiman and David Dodgen roamed the smoking areas and balconies entering with close up illusion.
The main floor we had Dj Sefu and Dj R-One keeping the beats flowing with a special addition by Sax on Legs live on the saxaphone mixing it with the Music and keeping the energy high ! MC Afroman kept us in the mood and in the know of the program Magique had in store. With Several Bands upstairs and a long list of staff, and the help of Luna Park Sydney we where able to bring again our A game in creating the unique.
The unfortunate short staffed bars due to people calling in sick meant drink wait times where longer than expected and thankfully we have now resolved this issue for future Magique Events. Our and My Main interest in making the best possible parties we can, and with your feedback both good and bad we can do so.
The Biggest Highlight of the Night was YOU ! everyone dressed up, we saw approx. 5 or 6 people who didnt which is good numbers out of the thousands attending. It is not just the fact that you put on a costume, the effort was easy to see. We had No fights, NO issues and just a good fun crowd – which is what we aim, and market to attract.

Many have been asking this and for some weird, strange reason the Halloween Buzz over the past years hasn’t really taken flight like it has overseas. Why? No idea.. The demand is there but it really only seems to be the same clubs that will run a Halloween event, which typically no one puts any effort in dressing up for :S
In 2009 Magique Hosted our first Halloween event, Magique Halloween Cruise. This was a sell out event, and propelled us into the event space rather fast. In an effort to take it to new heights, we changed the boat concept to a venue – a very fitting one!
Luna Park Sydney is, in my opinion.. the PERFECT venue for Halloween. From the Iconic Smiling Face as your enter, to the crazy freaky circus feel it is easy to feel slightly trapped in a horror movie when you wander the Milsons Point theme park. Of course we havent stopped at the ‘norm’ Halloween party, we have added in all of Magiques Performers to create… *drum roll*.. Magique Halloween Circus 2011 !
With Pole Dancers, Magicians, Fire Jugglers, Aerialists, Contortionists, Unicyclists and much much more, the custom stage is set to be alive and electric all night!. Over the 3 Rooms there will be Live rock Bands, Hardstyle/hard trance DJs and Rnb Hip Hop, House Djs keeping the dancing flowing.
Tickets are one sale now, But are selling fast so be sure to secure your today
So Unsure what to dress up as?.. here is a Video and some pics for motivation
With the Release of tickets as we progress into the later, and warmer part of the year.. Halloween approaches. In 2011 we see Halloween dates on the 31st Of October fall on a Monday so we, like most will, have set the Magique Halloween Circus on the saturday 29th of October. The Event Trailer has just been released
( see below ) and the schedule for the night almost finalised )
Now the next question is…. what to dress up as? We have made it compulsory to be in ‘fancy dress‘ this Halloween as that is the make aspect that makes this horrifically special day fun fun! So deciding what to wear is a bit hard at first. After Googling Images Ideas I stumbled across a bunch of random costumes, some I would NEVER have thought of, and some just disgusting haha!
I find every Fancy Dress Party we have at least 1 : Joker, Pirate, Batman, Army man, Pimp, Alice in Wonderland so if your really keen on being original I would advise from staying away from these. Then again, you can always take a unique spin on any of the above, change up the Joker with a total different outfit but the makeup freaky face. Halloween does not have to be a horror costume, it is popular but you can do anything!
Sydney, Melbourneand well most of Australia slowly are starting to get back into the spirit of Halloween and in my opinion its great for the economy, for the costume shops and for the venues as the more people who want to party and bigger it gets in Australiathe more will spend and partake in celebrating this day. Luna Park is the perfect place in our opinion, clowns are simply freaky no matter how fun & child friendly they are meant to appear.
I think Stephan Kings IT brought this on, and from there the “freaky clown” persona has far surpassed the orignal intended purpose of the clown. Magique is really interested in the theatrics of entertainment alongside the music which tends to dominate the nightclub, festival and party scene. Typically the only form of visual entertainment we find in the bigger events is elaborate lighting and sometimes pyrotechnics.
Performance performance performance, its one thing that can never be replaced by tuned lights, and $$ spent on stimulating pyrotechnics – indoor fireworks. I think it comes down to the theory “if it aint broke why fix it” which most promoters, clubs and the logically minded have. Because we ( team magique) come from a Performance background we are not trying to “fix” it but rather, revamp what it means to party and celebrate!.

Magique started typically as a group of Sydney, Melbourneand Queensland Magicians who joined together as a collective performance group. Sharing idea, performance tips and leads from clients it has grown into an entertainment source for many companies and clients alike, looking for the unique.
In 2011 we now have seen a shift in the Magiquephilosophy as we expand the doors to a accommodate for a few extra unique genres. Burlesque was the first addition with artists Briana Bluebell, Lola LaBelle and Rachel St James. Experienced Sydney BurlesquePerformers are a rare find and we have ensured we are selective with who we recruit.
Burlesque is sexy, sophisticated and intriguing.. the Perfect addition to what is out core illusion basis. With the expansion in melbourne and Queensland, Magique is no scouting out unique Talented Burlesque acts in both areas. Along with Burlesque Magique has adapted the unique rare talent of Aerialist Performance. We can across Aerialist Defy Last year, and to say we were excited is an understatement.
Defy, a Sydney based Aerialist is charismatic performer with a strong grasp not only of aerial performance but an effective delivery of “story” fitted to any theme or styled event. Aerialist – Defy seen as Lizardman at our Magique Halloween Circus, He has performeed at Various venues throughout sydney and is now on the Magique freight train of Entertainment.
2011 is setting out to be an exciting year with this, we have also added Stilt Walkers, Fire Jugglersand Hypnotists. We have seen a large rise in the request for unique entertainment for Wedding Performances over the past few weeks and are looking forward to what this year may hold.
