A popular option is to have a Close up Roving magician mingle with your guests and table hop performing close up magic. In this Blog I thought it could be useful to answer some popular questions Clients have:
How Long do you perform for? 
A close up Magician from Magique can perform for as long as you like. Within 1 hour one of our performers can cover an average of 70 people close up roving magic. Spending 7-8 minutes roughly per table our Magicians can perform an average of 2 illusions per group and not be too rushed through the event. Close up Roving Magic is great because it can work anywhere, with seated, standing audience. Close Up Magic is a Perfect Ice breaker and helps get people talking, laughing and having fun.
Stage Magic vs Close up Magic?
Both methods are rather popular and work better in different settings. for larger Weddings (300+) having a stage Magician is generally a more cost effective and efficient option as there is limitations to how many people a close up magician can cover. A stage centre Magic show can range anywhere from 5 minutes up to 25-30 minutes if desired. Magique Offers Stage Hypnosis shows, visual Magic shows or event stage mentalism magic shows.
Can the bride and groom be in the show?
Yes! and this is a fantastic way to unite the love, with magic. Magiques Magicians can customise a magic based Performance for your wedding. How much?
Weddings are an expensive affair and when you tend to mention the word wedding the price with most companies tends to gain some weight. At Magique we pride ourself in keeping our prices the same across the board for all events and we have packages starting from $300. Because Magic/performance is a bit different than offering a disc Jockey or photography we find that no 2 events are the same and to quote need to learn more about the event.
What effects the Price? there are several questions we need answered before quoting accuratley, below is a few:
Location : Travel time, distance needs to be assessed.
Number of Guests: This will help determine whether close up magic or stage magic will work best, or even both.
Date: Magique supports 8 Magicians all with different levels of experience, some of our performers may be booked out on your date.
aside from the nitty gritty and cost, I always think it is best to meet with us and have a quick coffee and chat. This allows us to assess what you need, run through some performance examples on our Laptop at a cafe and discuss what show and style might work best for you. This informal and personal method helps us ensure that the performer we put in to your wedding is suitable. Everyone has different taste.
